This article describes the situation when a script error appears in Backup4all and how to solve it.
If you use an older version of Backup4all and you open it, you might get a Script Error popup window, with An error has occurred in the script of this page message.
That error appears because of the new security protocols imposed by Google. The script is not executed and you can press "Yes" to continue and that will close the popup until next time you open Backup4all.
As a solution, we recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of Backup4all 9, as this is the only version currently updated. The old versions are unsupported/no longer maintained. The new security protocols are implemented for Backup4all 9 only.
