How to back-up your Twitter account data locally
Twitter allows you to download your entire data and once that's downloaded you can back it up using Backup4all.
Follow these steps to download the Twitter files:
- Log into Twitter and click on the more icon in the navigation bar, select Settings and Support then Settings and Privacy.
- Under Your account, click on Download an archive of your data
- You will need to enter your password and Confirm it. Twitter will also send a confirmation code by email (the one associated to your account) which you need to verify.
- After all the verifications, you'll be able to see a Request Archive button that you need to push. You'll receive an email when the download is ready (can take up to 24 hours).
- When you receive the email, click the Download button while logged in to your Twitter account to download a .zip file of your Twitter archive (or go to Settings->Download Data).
That's it, now you have all your Twitter account data downloaded locally and you can start backing it up with Backup4all to a safer destination (i.e. Google Cloud, Dropbox).
